Administration

Mark A. Welty, Ph.D., LPCC-S, LSW

Dr. Welty is the Executive Director of the Wellmore Centre. He is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor (LPCC-S).

Mark has over 30 years of clinical experience with specialties in addiction and trauma. He also has experience in treating high-risk populations having served the homeless as well as children in out-of-home care. Over the course of his career, he has provided specialized services for men convicted of crimes involving intimate partner violence as well as those who have been sexually assaultive. He is an expert group facilitator and has provided training to professionals in the state and across the country.

Evan J. Welty, CDCA, QBHS

Evan is the Chief Operations Officer of the Wellmore Centre. He is a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) and a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS).

Evan began working for the Wellmore Centre in October of 2020. As C.O.O. Evan is involved in a variety of administrative functions including community relations and program fidelity. In addition to Evan’s administrative responsibilities, he remains clinically active providing drug and alcohol assessments and individual and group counseling. Evan works closely with both the Harrison and Tuscarawas County Courts and other community stakeholders including the Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County. He is currently attending Stark State College with a major in Business Management and is a member of the National Honor Society. His skills and aptitude in business are helping shape the focus and direction of the Wellmore Centre. Evan is a graduate of the 2022 Leadership Tuscarawas class. He looks forward to having the opportunity to give back to the community in which he has called home for the past 23 years.

Administrative Support Staff

Mega Snyder

Mega is the Director of First Impressions and is part of the Wellmore Centre’s reception team.

Mega started with the Wellmore Centre in early 2021. She has an extensive background in customer service and office management. Her daily routine consists of answering phones, patient scheduling, insurance verifications, bookkeeping, and general office duties. Mega loves working with people and helps out wherever needed.

 

Clinical Team

Nanette Roberson, MSW, LISW-S, LICDC-S

Nanette began working for the Wellmore Centre in 2021. She provides individual outpatient counseling at the New Philadelphia office. Nanette is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing. Throughout the course of her career, Nanette has obtained experience in Substance Abuse Disorders, Mental Health Disorders, Crisis Intervention, Dual Diagnosis, Family, Couples, and Individual Counseling.

Jacob C. Motz, BS, CDCA, QBHS

Jacob Motz (Specialist, US Army)

Jake is a Program Manager for the Wellmore Centre. Jake provides counseling and group therapy for those seeking recovery. Jake is also the coordinator for the Pathway to Wellness men’s sober living program.

Jake began serving clients at the Wellmore Centre in September 2022. Jake’s diverse occupational background started with his family-owned construction business when he was in his teens. Jake then joined the U.S. Army a few years after graduating high school, and was an Infantryman stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. After that, Jake went back to school on the G.I. Bill, getting a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in psychology from the University of Mount Union. After graduating, and while working as an aquatic biologist, Jake volunteered to help out at his church with their youth ministry. A few months later, Jake realized that helping people was his calling, and became the Director of Student Ministries at Rivertree Canal Fulton. Jake now looks forward to continuing to help people at the Wellmore Centre where he will provide service in both the New Philadelphia and Cadiz locations.

Kylie Hay, M.Ed., LPC

Kylie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Kylie began working for the Wellmore Centre in January 2022 to complete her graduate-level internship. She was hired-in as a contract therapist and now works full-time for the Wellmore Centre.

Sara Kaser, CT, CDCA

Sara Kaser (Specialist, Autism Spectrum Disorder)

Sara is a Counselor Trainee (CT) and Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA). She is also a Certified Autism Disorder Clinical Specialist.

Sara started as an intern at the Wellmore Centre in 2022. She completed her practicum and graduated from Malone University in 2023. Sara provides individual counseling and co-facilitates group counseling.

Mike Burkhardt, BSW, LSW

Mike is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).

Michael Burkhardt has been a licensed social worker for nearly 36 years. He has worked in a variety of settings with numerous people in the areas of mental health, crisis intervention, nursing homes, drug and alcohol treatment, batterer’s intervention treatment and hospice care. He has been facilitating batterer’s intervention groups for nearly 14 years. He has worked as a full time hospice social worker for the last 11 years. He loves working in batterer’s intervention because he gets to see the changes men have the power to make to improve not only their lives but the lives of those around them.

Greg Wright, MA, LPC, LPSC

Greg joined the Wellmore Centre in June 2021, where he engages clients in individual and group counseling for a variety of mental health and substance abuse concerns. Greg has been a full-time public-school teacher since 1998, and has worked as an adjunct professor of counseling at Malone University. He completed his internship experiences at the Tuscarawas County Health Department Alcohol and Addiction Program and The Village Network in Uhrichsville. He has also provided professional counseling presentations at the All-Ohio Counselors Conference in Columbus, the Stark County School Counselors Association, and the Tuscarawas County Bar Association. In addition to teaching for over two decades in public schools, Greg has four years of part-time experience working at The Village Network in their Canton and Uhrichsville offices. At the Village, he worked within a therapeutic foster care program with a specialization in childhood trauma and youth involved with the criminal justice system.
